Photography memory check

1)      What is ISO and what does it effect?
ISO controls the detail that is contained in the photograph

2)      When would we use the ‘P’ control setting on the camera mode dial?
P stands for program, the camera selects the settings for shooting a certain scene/object such as the aperture and the shutter speed.

3)      Name two important considerations when attaching the tripod base-plate to the bottom of the camera?
It is screwed on properly and the arrows have to point towards the lens.

4)      Name three important considerations when using a red-head lighting kit?
Let it cool down before packing it away and make sure that you do not touch the barn doors with your hands as it could burn you, also don’t touch the bulb as it will break easily.

5)      When focusing the camera, what do we place on the object/subject to ensure it is the centre of focus?
A green rectangle/square

6)      Name two techniques we can use to adjust the brightness and contrast of the photograph?
Aperture, shutter speed and ISO.
